Twin's Game & Fun in the Sun

This week we went to our annual Twin's game. Mike is a big fan and we have only been able to get back to Minnesota once, so seeing them play the A's is the next best thing. There is a large number if Twins fans at the game too so that is always fun. Better yet we beat the A's in extra innings! It was a fun night out with Bre and Trent, and of course making friendly bets with the A's fan Trent all game long. GO TWINS! (Go Giants!)

Giada and I went on a picnic to Oak Grove park with the Avansino girls. It was fun to meet up with Moni and Stacy. Ray Ray couldn't wait to feed the ducks! They are kind of aggressive, I think they are used to being fed all the time!!

Little Francesca enjoying the sun!
Giada and I also joined Kristen and Jason for Farmers Market this week. I love this time of year. We enjoyed strolling around and eating the Guontone's pizza finally. Yumm! Giada was having so much fun swinging around this pole!
Summertime pics. This local photographer had a summer backdrop set for photos. You never know how cheesy these things may turn out, but I liked this one and Giada cooperated too!
She enjoys laying down now, and laid down right on this towel like
she was sun bathing...so funny.
Backyard pool, it's been heating up these days!
16 Months
Giada is just growing like a weed. She is a good eater, and loves being outside. Often one of the only reasons she is upset, is because we want to come inside for a bit. LOVES broccoli, any fruit, black beans, olives and feeding herself yogurt, which I'm sure you can imagine what a mess that makes. Good thing mom is a good sport. No pictures but she does enjoy her gymnastics class, especially the trampolines. She is grabbing our hands now to walk us all around wherever she wants to go, and is sleeping through the night!!!! FINALLY!! I think we are working on a few more teeth, so it will be nice when those pop through. She is talking up a storm, can definitely say Syd and Max, pretty good at Dylan(at least we know what she means) and gets the first letter of many more words. It's so fun to watch her grow. I feel so fortunate to be home with her every day!

Memorial Weekend - Zoo and Giants Game

What crazy weather we have been having! I'm glad it held out for a beautiful weekend, sunny but not hot yet!! I'm not ready for those 100 degree days. It was so nice to have Mike around to play with us for 3 days. Trips to the dog park, lake, and many BBQ's were on the agenda.

Friday - Nicole had the day off and it was fun to play with her and Dylan. Off to Micke Grove Zoo we went- the Lorikeet exhibit was in town! Now I have a weird fear of birds, so please notice that I'm feeding the nectar and they are sitting on my arm!!!!!
I'm working hard on this fear!

Although the kids look scared and like they are not enjoying themselves, we promise they were. Everytime a bird flew near them Dylan would say "Whoa!" and Giada would say "Oh no!" it was so funny. We also got in trouble for putting them on this rock- but worth the photo opp- right!?

Too cool at lunch

Then that night we got to have dinner with the Kernals and Avansinos.
Francesca is growing so much!

Dylan gave Benito a LONG ride in the wagon - I was impressed how long he stayed in there!!

Giada taking Dylan's ride for a spin.

Playing at the lake

Sunday Mike and I joined some college friends for the Giants game. What a great game it was!! Extra innings, Giants win. And - tailgating before a Giants game - who knew that would be so fun. I only think of tailgating for football!

Dressed Giada in the appropriate gear before we left for the game!
Great seats...but still have never caught a foul ball!

Darling Cuneo Girls!

The girls

The boys

Kristen and I - gloves in hand....always ready for the foul ball.....

Our backyard wildflowers have finally bloomed!
Now just trying to keep these little hands from picking them all!!

Memorial Day- Giada and Peyton managed to find the mud puddle.
I think Giada ate more mud than chips!

Jamie's Bachelorette Party, Random Giada Pics, & Backyard Catch

And the 3 week countdown has begun.....to Jamie's wedding.
We celebrated this weekend in SLO. Well actually Avila Beach.
We rented a beach condo that was right on the main drag.

Our view from the deck.

Our beautiful bride

It was a great weekend full of laughs, cocktails, dancing and ALOT of physical activity. Those of you that know Jamie - know she likes to exercise. So we had a walk on the beach, a 4 mile run , and a hike up Bishop's Peak. Funny though, I was the only one who did all of those with her...am I crazy!!??

Friday night we had some dinner and drinks at the house before heading to SLO Brew for a Jackie Green concert. I had never heard him before- he is a Jack Johnson type I guess you could say, but it was good times, and Jamie was thrilled. Then we were off to Bulls of course (new Bulls not nearly as good as old Bulls), then one last stop before heading home. We had some issues with the ride home....so Sara and I had to run a mile(took off the heels and ran barefoot) to get a car(Sara was sober, don't worry), and then head to get the girls and back to Avila. And before we know it - a late night snack later, and its 4am. I had been up for 24hrs- Geez! I'm tired again thinking about it.
Jackie Green Show!

Jackie Green - Who by the way I didn't think fit his name at all!

Saturday Jen, Jamie and I had a nice walk along Avila Beach, it was a beautiful morning.

I promised Jamie a run that morning too, and after the fact was glad we went. We ran all through the campus, which was fun since they have made so many changes lately. And for you softball girls, we even ran FREDRICK'S! Good memories!! Then it was back to Avila for some beach time and getting ready before the wine festival.

Wine Festival
I'm not sure why in all these photos I look so huge, I didn't feel tall around the group. Or like Mike said when I showed him the photos.....yeah you are right, you look like the teacher in a photo with a group of 2nd graders. :)

Have an hour to kill before dinner....we might as well do some shopping - right girls?
Especially when the store continues to pour us vino!

After a LONG wait at dinner we headed back to SLO for some Firestone's instead, which of course never disappoints.

I crashed as soon as we got back, it had finally caught up to me.
Then Sunday morning we were off to hike Bishops. It was a beautiful day. I apologize again to Jen and Adj, I didn't remember the hike being that tough-honestly!
Carrie and baby Schafer- thanks for joining us!

Horses on the trail...

And we made it....

And before leaving SLO - I got a new computer! Whoo hoo for my new Mac! Mike was in town for an engagement party, so it was so nice not to have to drive alone.
Thanks again mom and Jeanne for watching Giada all weekend!!

Random pics of Giada from last week.
She climbed right up to the front to hear the story at library story time.

Reading to herself, in her bedroom, I thought it was too cute.

AND....look at this HUGE raccoon Mike caught in our backyard. This is what has been digging up my flowers, dragging them all around and eating all Syd's food. Don't worry animal lovers, he was released and probably causing trouble elsewhere!
