Happy Halloween

Well the annual pumpkin carving took place tonight and as usual Mike has the best pumpkin. Mike did the one of a photo of Sydney, it turned out great. He did do it on the pumpkin we grew in our garden which was kind of fun! I did one where you use a tracing guide this year and my pumpkin is still a piss poor attempt at a cat. I think I like the random faces I usually make better! Summer/Scott did the wolves. Which looked pretty good when these photos were taken, but little does she know after she went home Sydney bit the heads off the wolves before we could stop her...oops.

Have a safe and Happy Halloween everyone!

27 weeks, under 100 days YIKES!

Well this was our last free weekend before Christmas!

We didnt do much this weekend and slept in both days which was nice.
Had a BBQ on Friday with some friends which was fun to visit and catch up. Went to the movies on Sunday night, saw Body of Lies....its decent, not real good - not real bad. Spent some time with Josh and Chayse while she was in town visiting.
She was playing dress up with Josh's costume box, the Santa was pretty cute.

I did realize we are under 100 days, yikes, 3 months to go. She will be here before we know it. I had a little fall this weekend, so just to be sure we did an ultrasound. Everything is fine, but it was fun to see her face and you could make out her foot in in the ultrasound.

Got to see Dylan tonight at the boys basketball game, he has already changed so much in 2 weeks, hard to believe.

Family Shower

This weekend was a busy one as usual!

Friday night BBQ and games of Catch Phrase at the Diehls!

Saturday morning the yearly Breast Cancer Run with the girls. This year we had a small group but Kristen, Marla and I had a great time. We walked the 5k, and enjoyed our pink pancakes after the walk.

Then it was off to the family shower. It was fun to have all our family and family friends in one place. Everyone is so generous, it is overwhelming. We had a lovely brunch, and Patsy did a great job with the games. My parents got us our bassinet which really makes it seem like she is coming soon to have that next to our bed!
The food and cake was delicious and they did a great job on the diaper cake. All the girl clothes are so darling and tiny!! Im getting excited to meet her in a few months. We even tested out the Moby wrap!

We are under 100 days now I think...yikes!

Then Sunday of course had some football watching and baseball watching too. Go Rays!
Our local boy Jason Barlett is going to the World Series.

Weekend in LA

This weekend I had the pleasure of going to LA to visit all my college girlfriends.
Jen, Hager and Adj threw me a beautiful baby shower.

It was wonderful to spend the long weekend with all the girls.
We had lots of time to visit and catch up.

The shower was on Saturday and was so much fun. Lots of games, which I love. I certainly need to get better at what the baby food flavors are, I got almost all of them wrong. We guessed who's baby photos are who's...can you guess mine? And made onesies. They are all so cute and cant wait until she can wear them all. The food and cupcakes were delicious. The girls also all brought childrens books to the shower. There are some classics and some Id never heard of, I am so happy to grow her book collection!!

Thank you all so much for a wonderful weekend, you were all too generous!!

PS I cant get the group shot or cupcake photo to post. I need blog technical assistance (nicole, hager!)

Almost 25 weeks

Well another week has blown by, almost 25 weeks now and almost under 100 days, yikes!

This week we had the pleasure of meeting Tim and Chris for dinner to celebrate their engagement. Congrats again Chris and Timmer. Nicole and I took the opportunity to take a couple more photos before "Thor" arrives. Nick is funny and has us take them from all angles. Some are more becoming than others, but oh well - right Nicole! ;)

Working on cleaning the baby room and spare room so we can start painting.
Off to SF tomorrow for work, yoga on Tuesday and off to LA on Friday to see the CP girls, cant wait!
