One Month Old

Hard to believe that she is one month old already!
Sunday was the day and she seems much bigger already as I look at her photos from the hospital. Everyone was right time goes by quickly.

Not even sure what we did last week. Did have lunch with everyone from my work, so that was nice to see them all and catch up on the clients and just their lives in general. I worked there for 5 years so I feel out of touch since being gone.

Thursday we had dinner at Hilder and Linny's it was yummy and nice to visit with all the girls.

This weekend we had many dinners with friends, it was nice to visit and catch up. We even made fondue on Sat night, it was SO yummy and I will say rivaled the Melting Pot.

Finally we got a photo with Dylan and Nicole!

I'm still unsure of those baths!

I love my bouncer and sleep in it daily

I love to sit in my swing while mom takes a shower.

We do this a lot!

We also had some changes to the nursery. Kristen and Jason built us a beautiful toy chest, so we moved that under the window and the chair under the lanterns. We also started hanging photos above the crib. (good idea sum)

Hilders Bday/Valentines Day

Well another week blew by rather quickly.

Lunch this week with the Palmer Girls, it was nice to hear all about what was happening at work. I have felt out of the loop on that stuff. Of course they are taking care of my clients just fine, but its fun to get the updates and catch up with the girls. Plus, I hadnt had my fix of Sanitagos lately- it was yummy.

Hilders bday is on Valentines Day and since she'd be off in Lake Almanor with the boy toy, we had dinner earlier in the week. Happy Birthday Hilder!

This week we had lots of visitors, Kristen, Linny and Sum on Friday afternoon it was nice to catch up. And Timmer and Chris stopped by on their way through town to meet Giada. It was great to see them, Timmer looks like a natural holding a baby ;)

Saturday Mike spoiled me for Valentines Day. We started a few years back having him make me a nice dinner instead of going out. This year was just different it being on a weekend I was home the whole time. It was nice to help out and the dinner was yummy as always, Mikes a great cook. He also gave me a homemade facial and massage, it was a treat and I was so surprised. Major points for him this weekend. I took a photo of the table, since it was funny to see the bouncer on the table and try to plan the dinner when she was sleeping. It worked out well, she slept all through dinner! This was the first time trying a headband, looks more like a sweatband!

All the grandparents stopped by to see see us for Valentines Day (But we know they really only come to see Giada!) ;) I forgot to take a photo of my mom(Nana) when she was over, but got some of Nona and Nono!

As if trying to do the blog while she is nursing, and type with one hand is not hard enough, I just got peed on, leg is soaking wet...these newborn diapers just arent small enough! This means the blog will be cut short....until next week. ;)

Almost 3 weeks!

Well time goes by very quickly these days!
Not sure what I do all day but before I know it, its 5pm and Mike is home!

Last week she had her 2 week appt, and all is well. She has grown an inch and is up past her birth weight which was the goal! So I guess she is getting enough to eat which is reassuring. She is pretty active when she is awake kicking her arms and legs all around. For the most part a very good baby, and doesnt mind being passed around to everyone to hold her. Sometimes she doesnt love the car ride, but I think its when she has needed something.

Left her with my mom for a couple hours on Friday- to go have lunch with the girls. It was a little weird, but felt okay. I think because I was only going to be gone for a short time.

Saturday we had a baby shower for Bre Diehl, she is due in less than a month, the countdown is on. Kristen took all the photos that day so I dont have any to share yet, Ill post when I get them from her. We all cant wait to meet Peyton in March!

Saturday night we went to a crab feed. I love crab feeds and was so glad I could finally eat some this time. Giada was great and slept most of the time we were there.

Here are some random pics from this past week.
We tried to take a family photo, but not everyone was cooperating!

This is the Maclaggan family outfit photo. Every grandchild on my moms side, and now great grandchildren have been photographed in this outfit. Grandma would be proud!

This photo I took of her napping in her crib to remind me that she CAN sleep in there at night. At night she never wants to be laid down, but during the day she will...we can't figure it out. :)

And..last but not least we thought this was funny. Uncle Scotts shoe is almost the same size as Giada...I think its a size 14- Big foot!

Week 2

Well, things are going well so far.
Despite the natural lack of sleep of course, we are adjusting well.
The days go by suprisingly fast. Before I know it Mike is home and I never seem to get those naps in ....oh well!

Giada has been very busy this week, went out to dinner a few times, went to her 1st super bowl party. She doesnt seem to mind being out especially since everyone wants to hold her the whole time we are out.

We still have lots of visitors coming by daily, and the grandparents stopping by often but we love the company.

The belly button fell off so she was able to get her first real bath. She seemed to like it MUCH more than the sponge baths, so thats a good thing. The nips are all healed up and breast feeding seems to be going well. We have another appt on Thursday, so as long as she is back up to her birth weight we should be good to go!

Here are a couple pics from last week. She sleeps ALOT during the day, so its hard to get any good ones with her eyes open.

Bath Time!

Auntie Hilder and Summer were trying to be helpful and change Giada during the Super Bowl, one managed to get poop on one outfit, and one managed to get pee all over the other. I didnt know I needed to bring 10 outfits with me. So we had to borrow a onesie from Dylan Kerns. It was a bit big, Christmas Themed, and said "Im an ice guy" but of course Giada didnt mind and it was better than her being naked. Thanks Dylan, and girls you are fired from changing duty. ;)
