Beach, Boardwalk, Birthdays!

Lots of birthdays for us in September! Happy Birthday Matthew!
Not sure how Giada will like it when she has to share the candle blow out with other kids - lol

Little Stella is growing up. Her legs are getting stronger, she has started arching up more and smiles a ton!  (Even though she's not performing in this pic!)
This may just look like dogs in a lake but Belle FINALLY swam out in the lake with Sydney. She usually waits for Syd and then steals the toy.  She only did it once, but that's a start!

A weekend away for the Coldani's. Good times always at the beach and the Boardwalk. Mike went on a ton of rides with Giada while Gino and I had plenty of people watching to do! She is so brave and would get upset when she wasn't tall enough o go on even bigger rides. She enjoyed the kids roller coaster and the log ride!! She went over and over! We of course spent time in the arcades too and cashed in our 100 + tickets for a yo-yo that  probably cost them .13 cents! lol  Giada of course made a friend at the beach and taught her how to collect crabs!

Gino is so much messier of an eater than Giada!! This pic of him standing may not seem that cool to you but to us it is great. Gino had a spill on the slide last week and sprained his ankle. He went back to crawling and would not put any weight on his left leg for a week.  It was so weird to see him standing like a flamingo with one leg up and crawling around again. He is upright now and back to walking. He has a limp and is not quite steady yet - but on the mend!!

Log Ride Official Photo! The video won't post; Ill try again later!

Pops Bday, Stella, Canning, Sydney, Grape Festival, & Happy Anniversary to us!

Happy Birthday Dad/Pops!  Yes, it looks like the cake is on fire.
I can assure you there were a lot of candles, but no fire!
Pops with all his grand kids!
Baby Stella found that tongue! We do enjoy our Stella days, Gino is trying to steal her bottles and pacifiers less and wanting to help now. She gets lots of kisses too!

Not only does Giada want to wear all purple often, she is always finding places for Tink to hide. (Gelbart this worries me)
"Mom this is a great outfit, all purple and the perfect spot for Tink to sit when I run with you"
I finally did a class with Community Tab and Table in Sac. So much fun. This was a canning class and I plan to do more with them...good times!

Sydney really is the best dog ever. There are many reasons. Here are a few...Letting Giada put stickers all over her, or letting Giada put clips in her hair!
Or letting Gino ride her like a horse! (Despite what the photo looks like Sydney is not being harmed)
Smiley Kid! Those teeth gaps make cute pics now, but may require lots of dental work later - lol!
So, I go to Ikea and give the kids cones to distract them while I shop around. All was going well, until Gino decided to put the cone in his ear!  No worries, I'd do it again...totally worth the distraction!
You be the judge... she comes to me and says "Mom, this looks just like Dylan, arms and legs and everything"

Giada starts crying and comes to me with this hamster in her hair!! Once we finally get it out she says
" Its ok we can just put the hair back on my head"

Grape Festival! The year is not complete without a trip. Mike I took the kids, and met up with the Kernals for a night of fun! We got out of there with a snow cone, corn dog, rides and NO blow up souvenirs...go us! lol
Of course Giada wants to hold the snake. It is too heavy for one person so luckily Mike stepped up and I was off the hook. This kid loves reptiles!
Last but not least...Happy Anniversary to us! 6 years later!  We headed to SF to celebrate.

We did the foodieadventures.com tour. I highly recommend it. Mike and I both had a great time. It is a walking tour of either North Beach, Mission, or Chinatown. Once in awhile there is a combo tour. We had one of those North Beach/Chinatown. You eat your way through those areas, hearing stories all along the way from the tour guide. Such a fun way to try new foods and learn about different cultures. I recommend this to anyone that enjoys a new adventure and likes to eat.
And a bonus we got to have dinner with Timmer and Chris. They were in the city to celebrate Tim's bday so we ended up heading to the Supper Club. A unique place to dine, but fun to check out as well!  We ended the night at the piano bar. Dueling pianos...you can never go wrong.
Great to see you guys!!
Thanks mom and dad for watching the kids for us. Looks like they too had no shortage of fun!

Giants Game/Lou Seal, Pickles, Red's Wedding, Giada/Gino Update

We finally made it to a game as a family.  Giada has been to a couple games, wearing her Lou Seal Halloween Costume from last year and not been able to meet Lou Seal...this time we were on a mission! Surprisingly when you are looking for him he isn't around a lot! We found him in the outfield standing on the fence peeking over waiting to drive onto the field in a car.  We called his name and he looked over, then raised up his glasses and ran over to say hi to Giada. He signed a photo for her and she was so excited. The crowd around us was waving to G and clapping for her; it was cute and she was beyond pumped! Mission Accomplished! She doesn't even realize she can be something else this Halloween. She keeps saying she wants to be Lou Seal. lol  She also keeps recognizing the stadium on TV and telling us "I was just there" and also loves to hear the "Let's Go Giants" clap and clap throughout the entire game we are watching!

August means pickle time! I think we made over 80 jars this year in 2 batches...we are pickled out!

Giada is obsessed with bug collecting! KR has the best backyard finds!  Matt found her this praying mantis recently and I caught this frog - big hit. We managed to keep them alive and release them. Success for all!
Red gets hitched! Super fun 24 hours in Irvine this weekend. We headed down south for Red & Cal's wedding.  Lots of laughs with this group, lots of drinking, lots of dancing and lots of fun. Congrats Reeedddd!

Stella Jean is 2 months old! Smiles more, sticks out her tongue, and has found her hands!

Giadaisms
- "What's your name? Julie Coldani Mom?"
-"Dairy cows give us milk, nonnos cows give us meat"
"When I wish on a star, I wish to be big like Matt"  lol
- "This is a mystery we have to solve"
- Any of you that know the Hilders. Giada refers to them as "Dr Hilder and Dr Kerry!" It's awesome!
- I told her only a few minutes then we needed to leave "mom, 5 min, no 3 min, no all the minutes"
- Loves jewelry,  & dress up
- Expert bike rider; she finally got the hang of it!
        Gino
- If it can be climbed it will be! Bricks, bar stools, rocking chairs...anything. He cannot be left unattended or trusted!! And if you tell him "no" and to get down, he laughs at you. We are pretty sure he is going to be trouble.
- Eating a ton and has a good appetite, wants whatever you are eating
- Good sleeper now, all night from about 7 pm
-Talks a TON, still not too many real words
- Loves saying hi- bye to everyone - grocery stores are super fun!
-Waving, high fives
- Very ticklish
- Doesn't like things taken from him, or not being let outside etc; and certainly lets you know when he isn't happy
